Louise Sykes
I qualified as a Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapist and a Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming at the highly respected Quest Institute of Cognitive Hypnotherapy, held at Regents University, London under the expert tuition of Trevor Silvester (Quest Institutes founder and pioneer of Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy).
I enjoy working with adults and children, helping them to be the best that they can possibly be, finding ways to assist them in living the life they choose to live. My approach to Cognitive Hypnotherapy is relaxed and realistic, ensuring clients feel in control of their own lives. I approach therapy from my clients view of the world and do not expect them to fit in with my beliefs. I have had life changing results from visiting a Cognitive Hypnotherapist myself and feel total confidence in its positive outcomes.
I qualified as a Staff Nurse in 1994 and my career focused on acute medical nursing and then women’s health. I was a Smoking Cessation Nurse Adviser for GSK and I also spent time as a Senior Medical Sales Representative. I have had the privilege of working as a volunteer for charities such as The Samaritans, food bank agencies and spent time as a school governor.
I am registered with The Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) as a Cognitive Hypnotherapist. I abide by their strict code of ethics. The CNHC was set up with government support, to provide a UK voluntary register of complementary therapists. For more information, visit www.cnhc.org.uk and www.hypnotherapists.org.uk
I am also registered with the Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy Practitioner Association (QCHPA). The QCHPA support its members by providing an evidence based therapy service that has been proven to help wellness in cases of depression and anxiety, and can assist with many other health and well-being issues. My most challenging and yet most rewarding role is that of mother to my two young children. I live with them and my husband in Cambridgeshire.
